Happenings!

So it's not Christmas anymore but I was in the mood to post so I pulled up a Christmas picture.
Mackenzie asked Santa for a heater for her room. I'm pretty sure that was not a normal request for a 8 year old. Santa did deliver. She is enjoying a warm room when she goes to bed and wakes up.
Amber is full of funny comments. Upon returning from our anniversary get-away, Amber said "Dad, I thought about you alot while you were gone but I didn't think about mom at all!"
She sure does love her daddy. I'm okay that I'm about 4 or 5 on her top "I love" list.

Okay...I figured it out.
I forgot to mention that his mom's house is at the bottom of a steep hill and only 4 x 4's can go down the drive so we had to carry our luggage up and down the hill. On Saturday night the drive was very slippery so getting down was quite an event. We laughed a lot and Steve almost fell a few times.

Mackenzie loves to play in the snow. She is in a snow tunnel that she made in the snow bank at school.

10 years!

We celebrated our 10 year anniversary last weekend. Steve's mom came to our house and took care of the kids for the weekend. We went to her place in Traverse City for the weekend. Had a great time! It snowed almost all the time we were there. Steve had to remove snow from the van at least 7 times on Saturday. You would like that we would know enough to take our boots. No....we forgot. I hate cold, wet feet. Other than wet feet we had a wonderful time!
For some reason I'm not able to add the pictures I had planned to send. Maybe they will show up later.
Okay, I was going to add a few pictures but It's been so long since I've blogged I think I forgot how.
This was taken at the Valentine's Party. The more sprinkles the better. Of course she made it for Dad.

T-N-T Party

On Saturday, 10/25, we had our T-N-T party. This is our Sunday Night program for kids in preschool through 6th grade. We had scheduled a hay ride but the weather did not cooperate. So we went with plan B. The Klein family had room in their pole barn for our group. The kids cooked hot dogs, played games, and even made a craft. We all had a great time!

MOPS Convention

Stephanie, Amber and myself took off to Dallas for the annual MOPS convention. It was held Oct. 2nd-4th. We had a great time!!! The convention was packed full of general sessions with just under 5000 in attendance, workshops, resource fair, good food and lots of fun. The toilet monster seen in the photos was left in our bathroom after a "we want to see your room" visit from the 7 gals from the North Branch MOPS group. I screamed! They were waiting outside in the hall waiting for someone to find their friend. When I found him and screamed I heard laughter in the hall and 14 feet running away. Later that night we woke to an alarm clock they had hidden in the room that abruptly woke us up. They were again, outside the door waiting to hear all the commotion inside. We did not disappoint them.

Field Trips

I'm back!

I thought I would post a few pictures of the girls.

I was able to go on a field trip with both of them.

I just love this wonderful fall weather we have been having. The girls and I went on a walk today.
